After a decade of building shared value in Australia, SVP is joining forces with the Sustainable Value Creation Institute to continue growing their platform.
After a decade of building shared value in Australia, the Shared Value Project (SVP) is joining forces with the Sustainable Value Creation Institute at Melbourne Business School.
The SVP was established in 2014 to help Australian organisations incorporate purpose into their business strategy beyond risk mitigation, to create additional value for business and society.
The Project has partnered with leading organisations such as NAB to support individuals facing hardship, AIA Australia on their leading health and vitality program and IAG on building community-led disaster resilience.
Shared Value Project CEO Sarah Downie said the partnership would align their shared mission with a platform to match its ambition.
“The Sustainable Value Creation Institute has been built on the same conviction we have held from the outset, that the challenges facing business and society are also where the best opportunities for innovation and growth are found,” she said.
“Being part of Melbourne Business School means the Institute will bring research capability, faculty and reach that we have not had before.”
Since its inception, SVP has grown from a concept to a strategy that companies are building into how they compete, in industries spanning business, government and the not-for-profit sector.
Sarah said joining Melbourne Business School would enable SVP to continue this growth.
“There has never been a more important time for this work, and the demand from industry is clear,” she said.
“Together with the Institute we will advance the intellectual property, build the Australian evidence base through case and research work, and take executive education to more leaders and organisations.”
The Sustainable Value Creation Institute Director Professor Will Harvey, said the partnership would enable the Institute to continue advancing sustainable value creation across Corporate Australia.
“SVP's purpose is to support businesses to put shared value into practice in a way that drives value to support the long-term prosperity of the country’s economy. This is the very reason for which the Institute was founded,” he said.
