Gain a unique perspective on how companies are responding to the biggest challenges of our time from a United Nations sustainability leader.

Climate change, human rights and other sustainability issues are high on agendas in business, government and society more broadly. But what does this mean, how are businesses responding and where do leaders need to focus their efforts?

Alumni are invited to join us for a unique session with Kate Dundas, Executive Director of the UN Global Compact Network Australia – the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative with more than 20,000 participating companies around the world – as part of the second MBA Summit event.

The session will include:

  • A 30-minute keynote covering what sustainability means for organisations today, how they are responding and where leaders need to focus their efforts.
  • A 30-minute Q&A session facilitated by Dr Gary Veale, Executive Director of our Centre for Sustainability and Business.

The session will be followed by networking drinks in the Hub, where Online MBA students get the chance to meet and learn from other students, alumni and faculty. We ask that alumni attending the session also stay for the networking drinks.

The MBA Summit is an in-person weekend for our online students, designed to foster collaboration and connection with the Melbourne Business School community. The event provides valuable opportunities for our online students to meet and strengthen relationships with fellow students, faculty, alumni and industry leaders.

As Executive Director of the UN Global Compact Network Australia, Ms Dundas leads a team of experts who work with more than 350 businesses and stakeholders to advance the UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement on climate change.

She holds degrees in Product Design, Landscape Architecture and Urban Environmental Design, qualifications from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and is currently studying an Executive MBA at RMIT University.
