Melbourne Business School appoints Geoff Lord to Board of Directors
Melbourne Business School is very pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Geoff Lord to our Board of Directors.
An MBS alumnus, respected business leader and entrepreneur, Mr Lord has a distinguished career with over 40 years’ experience in business management. He commenced his career in 1965 with Ford Motor Company, before joining Henry Jones (IXL) in 1973. He was elected to the Board in 1978 and made a director of several companies associated with the Elders Group, including Elders IXL and the Fosters Brewing Group.
In 1990, Mr Lord retired from the group to commence his own business.
He is currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Belgravia Group, a large private company with a range of business activities, including in property development, health and leisure, financial services, technologies and equity investments.
His other public company directorships currently include:
- Deputy Chairman of UXC Limited (IT industry)
- Deputy Chairman of IDT Australia Limited (pharmaceutical industry)
- Director of MaxiTrans Industries Limited (transport equipment).

Mr Lord has a strong passion for building businesses and supporting entrepreneurs.
He was also founder and inaugural Chairman of Melbourne Victory Limited. He is the former Chairman of the LCM Litigation Fund (formerly the Australian Litigation Fund) and Terrain Capital Limited, and a former Director of the KLM Group, Ausmelt Limited and Northern Energy Corporation Limited.
