Peter Nash to speak at Melbourne Business School Leadership Dinner 2018

Peter Nash will give a keynote speech at this year's Melbourne Business School Leadership Dinner to discuss the future of business and economics education at Melbourne.

Mr Nash is Chairman of construction firm Johns Lyng Group, a former chairman of KPMG Australia and sits on the boards of Westpac, Reconciliation Australia, Koorie Heritage Trust and Migration Council Australia.

Now in its second year, the Leadership Dinner presents a unique opportunity to hear first-hand about the future of business and economics education at Melbourne.

The dinner also celebrates the contributions of supporters, alumni and faculty to the success of Melbourne Business School with the announcement of the 2018 Leadership Awards. 

Last year's Student Leadership Award recipient was Rebecca Wilson, a Master of Business Analytics student who worked with the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation to strengthen its donor acquisition strategy.

Other award winners included donors John Dahlsen, Ian Kirk and News Corp Australia.

"The impact that donors have on the personal lives of our students, alumni and community partners is huge, and it's important to recognise the contribution they make," said Jody Evans, Associate Dean of Engagement.

"The Leadership Dinner is also a great opportunity to hear from senior business and school leaders and we're thrilled to have Peter Nash as this year's keynote speaker."

Mr Nash recently chaired a major review of the challenges facing business and economics education at Melbourne, and will be joined in speaking at the event by Professor Carolyn Evans of the University of Melbourne and Professor Ian Harper, Dean-elect at Melbourne Business School.
