Hear about the future of tourism at this years Visit Victoria Case Competition
Melbourne Business School students will have to put their best ideas in front of industry judges this month to show how they would solve challenges facing the Victorian tourism industry.
An annual event since 2013, the competition sees students put their analysis and strategy skills towards finding creative solutions to a real-world challenge.
"It's one of our best skill tests for our students, and it can lead to their ideas being adopted by the industry," says Dianna Moodley, Donor Relations Manager.
This year's case study challenge is how to grow participation and engagement in the Cadel Evans' Great Ocean Road Race to improve return on investment and increase participation from the general public.
Other challenges include how to increase the number of visitors to Melbourne during winter, and how to better engage with the Chinese tourism market.
This year's judging panel includes senior executives from Visit Victoria, former chairman of Tourism Victoria John Kennedy and Melbourne Business School Dean Ian Harper.
The competition will be held on Friday, July 20 and members of the public are invited to attend with an RSVP.
