It was a pleasure to have everyone join us Tuesday, 13 August for the Charles Goode Oration with Dr Andrew Ang.
It was wonderful to hear Dr Ang talk about how he and his team at Blackrock leverage AI and alternative data to inform investment decisions. Andrew’s insights on his own personal journey as an immigrant twice over, and why he champions diversity in business, gave us all much to reflect on.

Andrew Ang
Andrew Ang, PhD, is a Managing Director in BlackRock Systematic, which manages $220 billion with quantitative investment techniques. He leads systematic factor, sustainable and investment solutions. He also serves as Senior Advisor to BlackRock Retirement Solutions.
Dr. Ang is a well-known financial economist specializing in quantitative investing. Author of over 100 publications, Dr. Ang has published on sustainable investing, equities, fixed income, optimal asset allocation, and alternative assets. His seminal papers include research in the minimum volatility factor, incorporating macro factors into bond pricing models, and factor allocation.
