Melbourne Business School is pleased to announce the launch of our inaugural MBA Summit, Friday 28 June to Sunday 30 June.
The MBA Summit is an in-person weekend for our online students, designed to foster collaboration and connection with the Melbourne Business School community. The MBA Summit provides valuable opportunities for our online students to meet and strengthen relationships with fellow Melbourne Business School students, faculty, alumni and industry leaders.

Schedule
Day 1: Friday 28 June:
- Attend two exciting speaker sessions from industry leaders:
- Session 1 with Brooke Miller. Brooke is thePresident Asia Pacific at Lineage, State Director Biosciences Research Centre at AgrBio, member of the School’s Board of Directors and a member of Chief Executive Women.
- Session 2 with Helen Baker. Helen is an Ed-Tech Entrepreneur and is the Founder and CEO of Xolvit. Helen is also an Entrepreneur in Residence at the Wade Institute of Entrepreneurship at the University of Melbourne.
- Participate in a careers workshop run by the Melbourne Business School Careers Management team.
- Attend a mixer and networking event with members of the broader MBS community.
Day 2: Saturday 29 June:
- Participate in a hackathon organised by Microsoft. In this event, you will be grouped with other participants to tackle a problem of interest to Microsoft.
- Spend an evening collaborating further with your team whilst experiencing Melbourne, making the most of your visit to our campus and city.
Day 3: Sunday 30 June:
- Submit your pitch via Xolvit and then engage in a Q&A session with a panel of judges, displaying your group’s ability to think on your feet and display the skills and knowledge gained over your time at MBS.

MBA Summit 2024
What is the cost?
You are not required to pay to attend the MBA Summit. You are, however, required to cover your own travel and accommodation costs.
Is there accommodation near campus?
The MBS campus at 200 Leicester Street, Carlton is surrounded by multiple places you may like to stay at while attending the Summit.

How to get to the MBS Campus and where to park nearby
Melbourne Business School is located at 200 Leicester Street, Carlton VIC 3053.
The campus is a 20-minute walk from the CBD.
Metered parking is available near the school, but spaces are limited. All-day car parks nearby include University Square, Royal Women's Hospital and Wilson Parking.
Public transport is also readily accessible. Stop 3 - Lincoln Square/Swanston Street or Haymarket/Elizabeth Street are both a short walk to the campus.

What should I bring with me on this weekend?
During the group challenge event you will be required to research and put together a presentation so you will need bring any devices and materials you would use for this kind of work. You may also wish to bring materials to take notes with for your careers workshop.
