Charles Goode Oration - An Australian insider's view from New York

James Gorman has a unique view of the powerful forces reshaping the global economy.

In this year's Charles Goode Oration, the Australian-born CEO and Chairman of Morgan Stanley will speak about the challenges that Australia and the world face in these turbulent times.

As head of a global financial institution located in the world's financial centre, Mr Gorman will deliver his address online, in conversation with Melbourne Business School Dean and member of the Reserve Bank of Australia Board, Professor Ian Harper.

We had originally intended to hold an event on the evening of Tuesday, 29 November to celebrate Mr Gorman's address, which would also include a discussion with former Treasurer, the Hon Peter Costello AC.

Unfortunately, we are no longer able to proceed with this due to COVID-19. Instead, Mr Gorman's address will now be published as a video on this page and distributed to guests by email.
