Talking Data Series with Professor Yalçın Akçay - Deputy Director of the Centre for Business Analytics
Hindsight is 20/20: Lessons learned in supply chains during the pandemic
It is now safe to say COVID-19 broke the supply chain. In this talk, we will look ahead to a post-pandemic supply chain and consider the big questions: Should we focus on the resilience of the supply chain to withstand disruptions? Should we still seek efficiency as the main goal? What do we even want from supply chains? Data and analytics have been playing a key role not only in crisis management but also in shaping the future of the supply chain. For insights, we will also look at organisations from around the world who successfully leveraged data and managed to get through the disruption even stronger.
