Thank you for showing innovation and grit during the challenges of 2021

Who would have thought after the surprises of 2020, that 2021 would be an even bigger year when it comes to changing and adapting to the world we live in.

Our embrace of digital learning and hybrid classrooms proved invaluable, as Melbourne found itself in lockdown, then out of lockdown, and then back in again!

We want to end this year on a high note. But before that, we want to extend an enormous thank you to all of our students, staff, partners, guests and alumni for the extraordinary resilience you've shown during this anything-but-ordinary year.

Our community found new ways to bring the best ideas to life, even in the most challenging of circumstances. The resourcefulness, the innovation and the grit you all displayed was nothing short of remarkable.

Something that made us particularly proud this year, was that even in the middle of all these challenges, Melbourne Business School continued to make an impact on the things that matter.

Working together with the Faculty of Business and Economics, we launched the new Dilin Duwa Centre for Indigenous Business Leadership. We also expanded our Women in Leadership programs and partnered with business to address sustainability challenges.

Our next priority is to welcome you back to 200 Leicester Street in a way that prioritises everyone's health, safety and wellbeing.

Next time you visit, you'll notice we have some new routines when it comes to checking in, as well as all the appropriate safety measures. We're also asking that anyone who attends campus in person is fully vaccinated.

COVID has become just another part of life. But we're thrilled that we will be able to see more of you in person next year, and catch up on all those other parts of life we missed as well.

We hope you have a safe and treasured holiday season, however you choose to spend it, and we congratulate you on making it to the end of what has been a very tough year for all of us.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
