The Melbourne Business School at the University of Melbourne is hosting the Melbourne Workshop on Macroeconomics, Finance, and Policy on Thursday, 6 August 2026.

This one-day workshop brings together domestic and international researchers to present and discuss frontier research at the intersection of macroeconomics, finance, and economic policy.
The program features keynote addresses by Jing Cynthia Wu and Drew Creal, alongside academic sessions covering topics including the development of new models to enhance forecast accuracy, identify the transmission of monetary and fiscal policies, and model the interconnectedness between conventional financial markets and sustainable alternatives.
A dedicated PhD session provides emerging scholars with the opportunity to present their work and receive feedback from established researchers, reflecting the workshop's commitment to fostering the next generation of researchers in the field.
