Join Melbourne Business School Associate Professor Kwanghui Lim and Jason Widjaja (MBA 2010 and Master of Business Analytics 2015), Executive Director, Artificial Intelligence at MSD, for a fireside chat exploring how business leaders are approaching AI strategy, governance and responsible innovation in practice.

From boardroom policy to enterprise deployment, this will be a candid conversation on leading through one of the most consequential shifts in modern business.

 

About Kwanghui Lim

Kwanghui Lim joined Melbourne Business School in 2006 as a Senior Lecturer and became an Associate Professor of Strategic Management in 2010.

Kwanghui completed his PhD in the management of technological innovation and entrepreneurship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He then worked as an Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore Business School.

Kwanghui’s research has been published in leading journals, including Organization Science, the Academy of Management Journal and Research Policy. His focus is on how firms manage knowledge, intellectual property and scientific talent.

Kwanghui teaches the Innovation Bootcamp, the MBA Business Strategy core course, and Biodesign at Melbourne Business School. He also teaches capstone for the Wade Institute’s new Master of Entrepreneurship program and Advanced Management Theory on its PhD program.

 

About Jason Widjaja

Jason Tamara Widjaja is a global leader in artificial intelligence and data science, currently serving as Executive Director of Artificial Intelligence at MSD. He specialises in responsible AI, leading global efforts across AI research, governance, and trust, and contributes internationally through the Global Partnership on AI.

With a background in management consulting, Jason has built and led multidisciplinary teams spanning engineering, product, and ethics, driving large-scale AI innovation in enterprise environments. He is also co-founder of Lauretta.io, a computer vision startup focused on privacy-preserving intelligent systems.

He holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School (2010, Dean’s List) and a Master of Business Analytics (2015), reflecting his focus on integrating business strategy with advanced analytics. His work emphasises practical, human-centric AI that balances technological advancement with ethical responsibility.
