In session two of this series dedicated to supporting Melbourne Business School alumni, author William (Bill) Cowan AM will examine the fundamentals to securing and thriving in your ideal role.
Bringing his recent highly acclaimed book Building a Winning Career to life through a facilitated conversation, Bill will guide attendees through the distinct steps of building on your strengths, growing your network and finding the right job for you.

William Cowan AM
William has over 30 years of experience in senior management positions and has served as an advisor to boards and chief executives worldwide.
As a CEO and Chair, he was involved in building and growing a number of successful commercial and not-for-profit organisations.
He is a leader in career transition management and has formalised an approach that produces outstanding results.
In 25-plus years, he has provided practical guidance to over 1,000 senior executives, as well as many others including university graduates.

As the Director of Career Management Centre at Melbourne Business School, John builds win-win corporate partnerships through guest lecturing, partnering with student clubs, contributing to business seminars, participating in the Business Immersive Class and projects, internships and full-time job opportunities.
John also specializes in coaching executives to help them understand their values, professional and personal strengths and attributes.

Nicola is a qualified trainer, image consultant and career development coach. She has over 18 years’ experience in supporting business professionals to effectively communicate their value to prospective employers.
As a Career Development Consultant in Melbourne Business School, she has been managing career programs, developing and delivering workshops, events and individual coaching across all student cohorts since 2016.
Having started her career as a Medical Scientist, she personally understands the process and challenges of adult career transition and applies an analytical and holistic approach to help Melbourne Business School students identify and achieve their career goals.
