CSL Community Impact Scholarships

The CSL Community Impact Scholarships are the result of a partnership between CSL and MBS. Established in Australia in 1916, CSL is a global healthcare company driven to improve the lives of patients and communities every day. CSL is a leading biopharma with deep expertise in plasma-derived therapies, vaccines, and biotechnology products that treat serious diseases such as haemophilia, immune deficiencies, influenza, and iron deficiency.

The CSL Community Impact Scholarships are the result of a partnership between CSL and MBS. CSL is a leading biopharma with deep expertise in plasma-derived therapies, vaccines, and biotechnology products that treat serious diseases such as haemophilia, immune deficiencies, influenza, and iron deficiency.

In 2025, there are up to six CSL Community Impact Scholarships available for the Emerging Social Purpose Leaders program.

These scholarships provide emerging leaders, working in in not-for-profits in the health sector, with the opportunity to participate in a three-month program of classroom and work-integrated learning to build their business management and leadership capabilities to deliver innovative health impacts.

The scholarships are part of CSL’s Community Impact Awards which aim to recognise and support Australian not-for-profits health organisations by providing capacity-building opportunities (via the Emerging Social Purpose Leaders program) and also a financial grant to enable their organisation to continue and to expand their impact, ultimately benefiting their communities.

Value:

  • Tuition fee subsidy valued at $12,500 (of the $13,000 program fee)
  • Support with travel and accommodation costs for those residing outside of Melbourne
  • The opportunity to receive mentoring from CSL leaders.

Eligibility: This scholarship is specifically for those working in a NFP that is:

  • A registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profits Commission (ACNC)
  • Have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, approved by the ATO
  • Have been operational for at least one year
  • Have an annual income between $50,000 and $5 million
  • Focussed on providing services in the health sector.

Application:

MBS Application

  • Applicants must complete the program application via the MBS Academy portal together with a Manager Acceptance form signed and approved by their current employer.
  • Shortlisted applicants will be notified 10 business days after the closing date.

CSL Community Impact Scholarship Application

  • Only applicants with fully completed MBS application will be considered for scholarships.
  • Scholarship applicants must also complete the CSL Community Impact Awards application via the CSL website.
  • Shortlisted scholarship applicants will be notified 10 business days after the closing date.
