Melbourne Business School and Orica shortlisted for award

A customised program developed by Melbourne Business School to reshape global culture at mining services giant Orica Ltd has been shortlisted for the prestigious Rob Goffee Award for Leadership Development.
 

The Orica Managers Program (OMP) is part of a broader overall leadership and talent development strategy to build the capability of managers across the business in response to the tough market conditions of the mining industry.

The program has been delivered in six locations globally, and has culturally and professionally diverse participants in every cohort.

Melbourne Business School’s executive education team put key focus for the Orica program on enabling participants to develop authentic best-self leadership, creating a high performing culture, leading diversity, managing conflict and collaboration, creating a resilient brand, and shaping the new world and environmental landscape for Orica.

Melbourne Business School Associate Dean, Executive Education, Guy Saunders said the School partnered with organisations, like Orica, to design customised programs that meet the changing needs of business.

The Rob Goffee Award for Leadership Development recognises outstanding leadership development initiatives, programs and strategies, implemented within the organisation in order to develop and encourage current and future leaders. Winners will be announced on December 1.
