Yet another scholarship available for the class starting in August 2016

Launched at last month’s Annual Alumni Dinner, Melbourne Business School is proud to announce a new Alumni Community Scholarship to be available in 2016.

So what does this mean for potential students? The new scholarship provides yet another opportunity to experience an amazing year studying the full-time MBA with the aid of financial assistance. To find out more about this scholarship or any of our scholarships available to full-time MBA students, please contact our Enquiries and Admissions Team to see which scholarships you are eligible for.

The Alumni Community Scholarship totalling $43,000 is a result of funds contributed by the alumni community including individual donors, a generous match to the value of $10,000 as well as proceeds from the event.

Director’s Scholarship recipient Cuicui Jin spoke at the black tie event on how the scholarship had made the completion of her MBA possible. Now an alumna and entrepreneur she said “MBS inspired me to be bold and go beyond my comfort zone, and also provided me lifelong friendship with people from the community.”

As well as the scholarship announcement the annual dinner event featured the Charles Goode Oration, which was delivered by Australia Post CEO Ahmed Fahour (MBA 1993) and celebrated the Alumni community through a series of awards recognising individual achievements and contributions by community members.

Set in the spectacular Plaza Ballroom, this year the event which has been running for over 20 years was particularly significant as it celebrated 50 years from the first graduating MBA class, from which two members were in attendance on the night. It was also the first time there has been a fundraising element to the event, and the generous contributions underlined the enduring connection of the MBS community.

“Each time, what really makes our Alumni come back are the wonderful learning experience from our Faculty, Program Management and Careers experiences and professional Exec Ed services. I am grateful for all of your enthusiastic contributions to the development of our School” said Dean, Professor Zeger Degraeve.

The new Alumni Community Scholarship will help another student join the MBS Community.
