Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization
Melbourne Business School was honoured to host Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala during her inaugural trip to Australia as Director-General of the World Trade Organization.
At an exclusive lunch event with senior business leaders, government officials, academics and students, Dr Okonjo-Iweala spoke on issues including climate change, gender equity and the recent G20 Summit in Bali, before answering a wide range of questions from the audience.
Dr Okonjo-Iweala took up her role in March last year, becoming both the first woman and the first African leader of the World Trade Organization. Prior to that, she served in a variety of global leadership roles, including as the World Bank's Managing Director and Nigeria's Finance Minister and Foreign Minister.
