Students will complete Leadership and Business Essentials 1 and then choose from a number of core and elective subjects.

162.5 credit points total required to complete the program.

Core Subjects

Managerial Ethics and Business Environment (6.25 = 0.5 subject)

Find out how the societal context affects organisations and their strategies, as well as why managerial ethical problems frequently arise in the business context.

Learn to evaluate business decisions by considering various stakeholders and the moral reasoning frameworks that can help you be more aware of ethical pitfalls.

Managing People (12.5)

Acquire the analytical skills to identify, diagnose and solve people-related challenges in organisations. You will use tools to examine different theoretical concepts and perspectives that underlie individual and organisational behaviour to improve performance in a practical manner.

Marketing (12.5)

Learn to manage market demand using proven demand‐side strategies. You will learn to recognise, create, grow and protect market‐based assets that influence demand and how marketing investments help develop and translate market‐based assets into outcomes that ensure an organisation’s long‐term survival and success.

Consumer Behaviour (12.5)

At its essence, marketing is an attempt to influence consumer behaviour. Dive into the fundamental theories and concepts of consumer psychology and the research empowering it to enhance your understanding of why people choose, use and evaluate goods and services the way they do – gaining powerful influence tactics.

Marketing Strategy (12.5)

Discover the benefits of undertaking marketing actions within a strategic framework. Through analysis, planning, generating and calibrating strategic options, you will learn how a good marketing strategy works with the target segment to refine organisational vision and focus efforts on the most worthwhile of opportunities.

Data Analysis (12.5) (Masters only)

Gain the core skills to extract information from data to inform managerial decisions. You will learn quantitative analysis, analytical thinking and ways to measure performance, which will build in you the framework for solving complex business problems and the foundation for advanced MBA subjects.

Managerial Economics (12.5) (Masters only)

Learn to properly develop and evaluate strategic business options and informed decisions using managerial tools for economic reasoning. You will discuss fundamental concepts and develop analytical skills required in managerial and strategic decision‐making.

Marketing Research (12.5) (Masters only)

Examine qualitative and quantitative techniques of marketing research to address challenges facing any organisation – including market segmentation, targeting and positioning, estimating market potential, forecasting demand, advertising, pricing and more. You will then conduct a field-project on a marketing research problem.

Elective Subjects

Brand Management (12.5)

Open your mind to the challenges of building, protecting and strengthening a brand. You will take an applied approach to examining how to manage a brand, including the research, strategy and architecture that goes into a brand and ways to build, position and extend it as found in B2B, consumer and luxury retail brands.

Marketing Communications (12.5)

Explore what leading firms are doing in response to changes affecting the discipline of marketing communications. You will learn the concepts and techniques of contemporary communications, including design, implementation, planning and how to manage multiple media, such as online, broadcast and more.

Digital Product Management (12.5)

Product Managers must understand customer and business needs to drive the development of digital products. Learn to work through the digital product lifecycle, from writing the product requirements to managing the development trade-offs and prioritisation to delivering the products to users and finally improving the products through iteration.

Negotiations (12.5)

Negotiation is the art and science of securing agreements between two or more interdependent parties. Discover why people and organisations behave the way they do in competitive situations and come to understand the broad spectrum of negotiation problems faced by managers and professionals in a global context.

Leadership and Change (12.5)

Explore a leader's role and its impact and influence on organisational performance. You will examine the theory and practice of how leadership makes a difference and learn to understand your own leadership capabilities and challenges.

The 2023 program fee is $4,650 per subject (12.5 credit points equivalent)

The 2024 program fee is $4,880 per subject (12.5 credit points equivalent)

Other Costs

Approximately $120 per subject is a reasonable amount to budget for textbooks and other study-related expenses.

*Fees are subject to annual review and may be adjusted to take into account cost increases. The School guarantees that fees will not increase by more than 10 per cent from year to year.

Offer

The Selection Committee will make the final decision on each applicant, usually within four weeks. All applicants will be notified of the outcome via email.

Application Requirements

For a successful application, you will need:

  • An up-to-date CV, showing a minimum of two (2) years’ of professional work experience.
  • A copy of your undergraduate academic transcript and any postgraduate transcripts, if relevant.
  • A passport or verified document showing current citizenship / residency status.
  • An excellent command of English (copy of IELTS or TOEFL score*, where required) if you are a non-native speaker.
  • Personal statements relating to your goals and how you can contribute to the program.
  • The names and contact details of two (confidential) professional referees.

Meeting these requirements does not guarantee selection.

You are also welcome to supply additional information that you believe will strengthen your application. The School may also request additional information to assist the admission decision.

This program is only open to domestic students (Australian/NZ citizens, Australian PR visa holders or any Australian visas without study restrictions).

It is a university requirement that applicants provide evidence that they meet the published entry requirements. Uncertified documentation does not provide this evidence; however we accept uncertified documents for the purpose of selection, and reserve the right to request your original certified documentation at any time.

*For IELTS, you will need a minimum score of 7.0 overall, with no individual score less than 6.5.
For
TOEFL iBT, you will need a minimum score of 102, with a written score minimum of 24 and no individual score lower than 21.
PTE Overall score minimum of 65, with writing skills of minimum 65 and no other communicative skill below 50
