The Advancement Office at Melbourne Business School aims to involve constituents in a lifelong journey of involvement with and support of the School. Reporting to the Associate Director Advancement, the Campaigns Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the strategic plans of all fundraising campaigns that Melbourne Business School embarks on to support its overall advancement mission.
Key duties:
  • Initiate and develop in consultation with Associate Director and others, specific campaign strategies and programs, including capital campaigns and annual giving campaigns
  • Plan and execute campaign programs
  • Manage all campaign fundraising messages and activities within the communications schedule of Marketing and Communications and the Alumni Relations programs
  • Undertake targeted phone activity in line with campaign fundraising program
  • Identify and/or qualify those donors or prospects with larger giving capacity at the annual giving level and communicate to management the qualifying factors to further assessment
  • Manage the ongoing donor pipeline
  • Responsible for all campaign related digital and corporate communications
  • Contribute to team planning for donor engagement and stewardship activity
The successful candidate will have:
  • A degree or relevant qualification in either Social Impact/Innovation, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Marketing or Communications
  • Minimum 4 years’ successful experience of working on campaigns in public affairs, marketing and/or communications role
  • Demonstrated success in managing and executing fundraising campaigns
  • Experience devising and implementing campaign strategies for an educational institution
  • Strong communication skills – verbal, written & presentational
  • Strong project management skills
