Academic Director - MBA Program

Reporting to the Associate Dean, (Academic), the position is responsible for the academic leadership of the Full-time and Part-time MBA programs, including the content and delivery of the curriculum, setting the framework for selection of students into the program and all aspects of their academic experience in the program. 

Working within the School’s organisational structure, your key result areas will include:
• Ensuring that the design and content of the program meets world class standards and learning objectives
• Assisting key stakeholders such as the Career Management Centre, Academic Services as well as the Academic Registrar’s team to achieve program targets. 
• Supporting the marketing team in generating student interest, and the admissions team in recruiting high quality students through the various promotions available to the school. 
• Actively exploring and developing new academic initiatives and teaching in the program to ensure you are abreast of content and delivery.

Our ideal candidate will have a PhD in a business-related discipline as well as significant experience in both teaching postgraduate students and curriculum development. Previous experience in managing and leading education programs would be desirable. 

You will be comfortable managing relationships and influencing outcomes in teams without direct supervisory responsibility. With exceptional interpersonal skills that allow you to coordinate multiple functions and liaise with faculty members, students, the School’s leadership, and faculty from other departments from the University of Melbourne.
